We appreciate that investing in a Holiday Home is a big decision and that you will have several questions.  To help make your decisions easier, here are a few of the most frequently asked questions and their answers.

How Often Can I Use My Holiday Home?
We are currently 11 months from 1st March to 31st January, however we do hope to extend our season to 11months, closing only for February and if all goes to plan this will come into effect this year – please ask for the latest information regarding this.
You can stay as often as you choose during our open season, however Winston Bridge Riverside Retreat is not a residential park and UK planning laws ask that you provide us with proof of a permanent address elsewhere.

How Long Can I Keep My Caravan For?
Providing you adhere to the Park Rules you can keep your holiday home indefinitely.  There is no age restriction placed on caravans at Winston Bridge Riverside Retreat.

Modern holiday caravans are very well built and require little external maintenance, however if you intend to use your holiday home in the colder months then we recommend you have a better insulated caravan with central heating and double glazing.

Can I Rent Out My Holiday Home?
No.  Winston Bridge Riverside Retreat is exclusively an Owners only park, although your family and friends are welcome to stay.

What Happens If I Want To Sell At Some Point In The Future?
You are welcome to sell your caravan privately (please ask for the rules and procedures regarding this) or we will purchase it back from you.
As with all major purchases, caravans do depreciate so our advice would be to regard a holiday home as a long-term investment in your quality leisure time.

How Much Are The Running Costs?
Winston Bridge Riverside Retreat offers excellent value for money, and your annual running costs for the 2010 season are:

  • Site Fee: £2000
  • Insurance:
    • 10ft - £173.25
    • 12ft - £265
  • Gas & Electric:  Based on a consumption basis - you only pay for what you use!
